Julie Weidenfeld segued from a successful investment research and sales career into a lifetime provider of fitness and wellness information. Within the investment arena, Julie created her niche around technology, retail and restaurant companies, finding small, growing and interesting ideas for her clients. This specialization garnered her the respect of institutional investors looking for unique investment opportunities. Coach Julie managed a portfolio of $200 million of individual assets, and procured such clients as IDS American Express, First American Funds, Artisan Partners, Columbia Management, and Guardian Life among others. on the institutional side.
In 2001, Ms. Weidenfeld experience the loss of a 2nd trimester pregnancy. This loss, along with the tragic events of 9/11 left her in a state of depression. What spawned her passion and enthusiasm for fitness occurred when her sister asked that she participate in a little-known race called a ride and tie (www.rideandtie.org). This event required her to begin a training program incorporating running, endurance, horseback riding, and altitude preparedness. Having a new focus, Coach Julie tackled her depression, without medication, and realized the incredible mental benefits that fitness can provide. She catapulted into a lifelong journey of fitness and wellness, and was compelled to spread her message to the world.
Peak Health 360 was then born to carry this message!
Her excitement to share fitness and wellness ideas is carried on through her children, Justin and Jake (and sometimes her dog, King), who both embrace exercise and sports. Coach Julie also brings her knowledge to the middle school students of Pine Crest School, which created her position for her to educate the kids on proper exercise form, exercise progressions, healthy food selections and how to make fitness fun. She has also implemented a workout program for the faculty, which has been adopted by both campuses of Pine Crest.
Julie enforces accountability by utilizing modern technology through live online streaming tools, mobile apps and fitness trackers. She has written blogs on the benefits of utilizing trackers and assessment tools to monitor fitness success.
